China Wins Overall Gold Medal Count at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics with 96 Gold Medals

China won the overall championship at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Chinese athletes won a total of 207 medals, comprising 96 gold, 60 silver, and 51 bronze medals on the final day of the world sporting event on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

China's gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics came mostly from athletics, with 27 medals. Other sports in which the country won medals include archery, badminton, cycling road, cycling track, powerlifting, shooting, swimming, table tennis, and wheelchair fencing.

Great Britain came in second place with a total of 124 medals, consisting of 41 gold, 38 silver, and 45 bronze medals. The United States followed as the third-place winner with a total of 104 medals, comprising 37 gold, 36 silver, and 31 bronze medals.

The Russian Paralympic Committee was ranked fourth with a total of 118 medals, consisting of 36 gold, 33 silver, and 49 bronze medals. The Netherlands followed in fifth place with a total of 59 medals, comprising 25 gold, 17 silver, and 17 bronze medals.
