Indonesia Has the World's Best Men's Doubles Badminton Players in 2022

Based on a report from the Badminton World Federation (BWF), Indonesian athletes Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto became the world's best men's doubles badminton players, with a total of 88,655 points at the end of 2022.

Fajar-Rian successfully displaced the Japanese badminton pair, Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi, to second place with 82,700 points.

Throughout the year, Fajar-Rian won four international tournaments: the Denmark Open, Malaysia Masters, Indonesia Masters, and Swiss Open.

Fajar-Rian also finished as runners-up in the Korea Open, Thailand Open, Malaysia Open, and Singapore Open, and won a bronze medal at the BWF World Tour Finals 2022.

Another men's doubles pair from Indonesia, Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan, also made it into the BWF's list of best players. They ranked third with 81,425 points.

Malaysia had the most representatives in this year's list of the world's best men's doubles players, with three pairs.
