Winter Football Transfer Window Closes, Here's the List of Most Expensive Players Transferred

The end of January also marked the end of the 2021/2022 winter transfer window in Europe's top football leagues. In this football player transfer window, Dusan Vlahovic's move from Fiorentina to Juventus was the most expensive transfer.

Quoting Transfermarkt, Vlahovic's transfer value reached €81.6 million. The top scorer in the Italian Serie A has been signed by Juventus until 2026.

Ferran Torres' transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona was the second most expensive transfer. Barcelona paid €55 million to bring Torres back to Spain.

Next, Liverpool bought Luis Diaz from FC Porto for €45 million. This also made Diaz's purchase the most expensive in England during this winter transfer window.

Two new Newcastle United players are ranked fourth and fifth. Newcastle bought Bruno Guimaraes from Olympique Lyon for €42.1 million and Chris Wood from Burnley for €30 million.
