According to the World Padel Report 2024 released by the International Padel Federation (IPF), there are 60,000 padel courts worldwide in 2024. This number has surged by 240% compared to 2021.
In 2024, Spain is the country with the most padel courts globally, reaching 16,000 courts.
Europe is recorded as the continent with the most padel courts in the world, with 42,600 courts, or 70% of the total global padel courts.
Below is a list of the top 15 countries with the most padel courts globally in 2024, according to IPF:
- Spain: 16,000 courts
- Italy: 9,050 courts
- Argentina: 7,000 courts
- Sweden: 4,200 courts
- Netherlands: 2,420 courts
- Chile: 2,300 courts
- France: 2,150 courts
- Paraguay: 2,000 courts
- Belgium: 1,970 courts
- Mexico: 1,500 courts
- Egypt: 1,500 courts
- Denmark: 1,390 courts
- Portugal: 1,300 courts
- Finland: 1,100 courts
- United Arab Emirates: 950 courts
IPF also reported that in 2024, there are an average of 3.2 courts per padel facility or club globally. The Oceania region has the highest ratio, with 3.6 courts per club.
Meanwhile, Europe has an average of 3.4 padel courts per club; Africa 3 courts; America 2.9 courts; and Asia 2.7 courts per club.
IPF estimates that there are approximately 30 million amateur padel players worldwide in 2024. More than half of them play quite frequently, at least once a week.
