Surprise! Japan Scores 3 Points After Beating Germany 2-1

Japan's national football team (Timnas) caused a sensation after defeating Germany 2-1 in their opening match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. This victory earned Japan a full 3 points after overcoming the European football giant.

In the match between Japan and Germany, held at Khalifa International Stadium on Wednesday (23/11/2022), the team nicknamed Der Panzer took the lead through Ilkay Gundogan's penalty in the 33rd minute. The score remained 1-0 until halftime.

In the second half, Ritsu Doan scored against Germany, guarded by Manuel Neuer, in the 75th minute. This goal broke Der Panzer's defensive concentration. Then, in the 83rd minute, Takuma Asano scored again, giving Japan a 2-1 lead.
