Marc Marquez to Fabio Quartararo: Who is the Highest-Paid MotoGP Rider?

MotoGP racers earn incredibly high salaries. According to Sports Payouts, Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez had the highest salary among MotoGP racers last season.

The Repsol Honda rider earned US$12 million, equivalent to Rp172.12 billion per year (using an exchange rate of US$1 = Rp14,344). On average, Marquez earned US$631,000, or Rp9.05 billion per race.

Valentino Rossi came in second. The racer, who retired at the end of last season, earned US$10 million, or Rp143.44 billion per year from the Petronas Yamaha Sepang team. On average, "The Doctor" earned approximately Rp7.6 billion per race.

Next, Maverick Viñales, who joined the Monster Energy Yamaha team last season, earned a salary of US$8 million, or approximately Rp114.75 billion per year.

Rounding out the top five highest-paid MotoGP racers are Joan Mir from the Suzuki team and Pol Espargaro from the Repsol Honda team. Mir earned US$6 million, and Pol earned US$3.5 million.
