SEA Games 2021: Indonesia Wins 29 Gold Medals, Latest from Archery and Canoeing

Indonesia's archery and canoe teams won two gold medals at the 2021 SEA Games on Wednesday (May 18, 2022) by 13:56 WIB. This brings Indonesia's total gold medal count to 29, according to the official SEA Games 2021 website.

The archery gold medal was won by the trio of Riau Ega Agata Salsabila, Arif Dwi Pangestu, and Bagas Alvyanto Prastyadi in the men's team recurve event. The Indonesian archers defeated the host team, Vietnam.

Meanwhile, the canoeing gold medal was won by Sutrisno, Joko Adriyanto, Andri Agus, and Tri Wahyu. The Indonesian canoe team beat Myanmar and Vietnam, who finished second and third respectively.

Various sports contributed to Indonesia's total gold medal count since the SEA Games 2021 began on May 12, 2022, including shooting, bowling, athletics, and swimming.

As of midday today, Indonesia is ranked fifth overall in the SEA Games 2021 standings, with 29 gold medals, 43 silver medals, and 41 bronze medals.
