Jonatan Christie sits at number two in the BWF rankings; will he overtake the world's badminton king?

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) released its latest world top 10 men's singles badminton rankings on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Two Indonesian players secured spots in the top three.

Jonatan Christie is ranked second with a total of 80,612 points from 19 tournaments. The Jakarta-based player has held this position consecutively since surpassing Anthony Sinisuka Ginting on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Ginting is ranked third this week with 77,579 points from 19 tournaments, a position he has held since the end of January.

Viktor Axelsen remains at the top with 108,056 points from 15 tournaments.

This means Jonatan is 33,544 points behind Viktor, while Ginting trails by 36,577 points.
