Perumnas to Build 1,360 Houses in Jabodetabek

PT Perumnas built 1,360 housing units in the Jabodetabek area throughout 2014. In Jakarta, Perumnas built 715 units (52.57 percent), Bogor/Depok 525 units (38.6 percent), and Bekasi 120 units (8.8 percent). No housing units were built in Tangerang in 2014.

Economic growth and the increasing population of Jakarta have led to a consistently rising demand for housing each year. Limited land availability for housing construction has prompted Perumnas to build outside of DKI Jakarta to meet the housing needs of Jakarta residents and surrounding areas.

Perumnas' housing construction reached its peak in 2009, with 2,939 units, representing approximately 97 percent of its total housing construction in Jabodetabek. However, construction decreased afterward until 2012, before increasing again during the 2013-2014 period.
