Survey: Majority of Indonesians Disapprove of US-Israel Attack on Iran

According to a survey by Indikator Politik Indonesia, Lembaga Survei Indonesia (LSI), and Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC), the majority or 83.1% of respondents in Indonesia do not agree with the attacks by the United States (US) and Israel on Iran.

This figure comes from 60.1% of respondents who do not agree and 23% who strongly disagree.

"Support for the attacks by Israel and the US is only 4.9%. So it's very small, this is a super minority group," said Indikator researcher Burhanuddin Muhtadi in his online survey presentation on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Meanwhile, there are 7.4% of respondents who have no opinion or are neutral about the US-Israeli attacks on Iran.

The survey also asked the public's views on the willingness to become health volunteers for the US-Israeli forces in the war against Iran.

The results showed that 74.3% of respondents stated they are not willing, while 13% stated they are willing.

"So simply put, we have strong indications that support for these attacks is not legitimate for Indonesian citizens because it's too small," said Burhanuddin.

The survey involved 1,066 respondents aged 17 and above spread across Indonesia. The respondents were selected using a multistage random sampling method.

The data collection was conducted from March 12-31, 2026 through face-to-face interviews, with a survey error tolerance (margin of error) of +/-6%.
