Regional Government Governance Score of 66.13 in 2024: Its Aspects

The Ministry of Home Affairs' Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN Kemendagri) revealed that the national average score for the Regional Governance Index (ITKPD) in 2024 is 66.13 points, classified as "sufficient."

Based on the assessment aspects, the support system had the lowest score at 47.93 points.

This aspect encompasses democracy quality, social dynamics, and regional potential. The average scores were: democracy quality at 77.21 points; social dynamics at 56.37 points; and regional potential at 39.55 points.

The average score for the regional development achievement aspect reached 67.17 points.

This aspect consists of economic development, social development, and environmental development achievements. The national average scores were: economic development at 66.70 points; social development at 60.18 points; and environmental development at 73.36 points.

Finally, the governance capacity aspect had a national average of 69.63 points.

This section includes regional government institutions, regional finances, and public service fulfillment. The average scores were: regional government institutions at 71.38 points; regional finances at 54.08 points; and public service fulfillment at 77.51 points.

In the 2024 ITKPD, BSKDN Kemendagri used the following classifications: excellent, good, sufficient, poor, and very poor, with the following criteria:

* Excellent: 85 < score ? 100
* Good: 70 < score ? 85
* Sufficient: 55 < score ? 70
* Poor: 40 < score ? 55
* Very Poor: 0 < score ? 40

The 2024 ITKPD assessment was conducted on 34 provinces. Four newly autonomous regions (DOB) were not included due to insufficient data availability.
