Spanish GP Winner Verstappen Further Solidifies His Lead in the 2024 F1 Championship

Max Verstappen won again in the Formula 1 (F1) race at the Catalunya Circuit, Barcelona, on Sunday (June 13, 2024).

Verstappen started the race from second position, just behind pole sitter Lando Norris. The Red Bull driver then took the lead on lap three.

Verstappen completed the 66 laps in 1 hour, 28 minutes, and 20.227 seconds. This achievement marked his seventh win of the season.

Norris finished second, 2.219 seconds behind. Lewis Hamilton secured third place, his first podium finish since the 2023 Mexican F1 Grand Prix.

As a result of the Spanish race, Verstappen's total points increased to 219, significantly ahead of other drivers.

Lando Norris is second in the F1 2024 standings with 150 points, followed by Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc with 148 points.

The next F1 2024 race series will be held at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Austria, from June 28-30, 2024.
