Kaltara's Household Consumption Contribution to Regional Gross Domestic Product (GRDP) was the Lowest Nationally in the Third Quarter of 2021

Household consumption in North Kalimantan contributes the least to its regional gross domestic product (RGDP) at current prices compared to other provinces.

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that household consumption in North Kalimantan only accounted for 14.84% of the RGDP from the expenditure side in the third quarter of 2021. This figure is lower than the previous quarter's 15.25% and the same quarter of the previous year's 15.97%.

The largest component of North Kalimantan's RGDP from the expenditure side comes from net exports, reaching 48.77%. This means that almost half of the economy of Indonesia's youngest province is supported by export activities.

Other provinces with the lowest household consumption distribution are East Kalimantan at 15.98%, followed by West Papua at 31.18%, Central Sulawesi at 32.33%, and Riau at 35.01%.

Following this, household consumption in Central Kalimantan contributed 39.39% to its RGDP. This is followed by the Riau Islands with a 40.5% household contribution, Jambi at 41.62%, and North Sulawesi and Papua at 42.29% and 43.28% respectively.
