South Sulawesi (Sulsel) experienced the fastest household consumption growth in 2024.
According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Sulsel's household consumption expenditure based on the constant price Regional Gross Domestic Product (PDRB) amounted to Rp204.65 trillion in 2024. This figure represents a 6.26% increase from the previous year, the highest among all provinces.
Measured at current prices, Sulsel's household consumption reached 54.63% of the provincial PDRB, which totaled Rp626.25 trillion in 2024.
The provinces with the next highest household consumption growth were North Kalimantan at 5.73%, followed by North Sumatra at 5.43%, South Kalimantan at 5.37%, and North Sulawesi at 5.25%.
Next were Jakarta Special Capital Region with 5.23% household consumption growth, West Sulawesi at 5.20%, Central Java at 5.15%, and Bengkulu at 5.13%.
