Per Capita PDRB of East Nusa Tenggara was the lowest in Indonesia in 2021.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the per capita Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) was only Rp 20.58 million per year in 2021. This means that the income of NTT residents is the lowest compared to the other 33 provinces.

The income of NTT residents is only one-third of the average income of Indonesian residents, which is Rp 62.2 million per year. The per capita GRDP of NTT is equivalent to 7.5% of the income of residents in DKI Jakarta, which reached Rp 274.71 million per year.

The next lowest province in terms of per capita GRDP is West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), at Rp 26 million per year in 2021. Following that are Maluku with a per capita GRDP of Rp 26.07 million per year, Aceh at Rp 34.68 million per year, and West Sulawesi at Rp 35.04 million per year.

Then Gorontalo has a per capita GRDP of Rp 37.17 million per year. After that is Central Java with a per capita GRDP of Rp 38.67 million per year, Bengkulu at Rp 39.14 million per year, and Yogyakarta Special Region and North Maluku at Rp 40.23 million per year and Rp 40.3 million per year respectively.

Of the 10 provinces with the lowest per capita GRDP, there are 2 provinces from Maluku, 2 provinces from Nusa Tenggara, 2 provinces from Sumatra, 1 province from Sulawesi, and 2 provinces from Java.
