Semarang City Had the Highest PDRB in Central Java in 2020

In 2020, Semarang City had the largest economy in Central Java. This is evident from its Regional Gross Domestic Product (RGDP) at current prices (ADHB) which reached Rp 189.26 trillion last year.

Semarang City's economy in 2020 was primarily supported by the manufacturing industry, contributing Rp 54.2 trillion (28.64%). Meanwhile, the construction sector contributed Rp 49.34 trillion (26%) to Semarang City's RGDP last year.

Kudus Regency was in second place with an RGDP of Rp 109.16 trillion in 2020. Following that was Cilacap Regency with an RGDP of Rp 105.04 trillion.

Meanwhile, Magelang City had the lowest RGDP in Central Java last year, at Rp 8.72 trillion. Above it were Pekalongan City and Salatiga City with RGDPs of Rp 10.82 trillion and Rp 13.27 trillion, respectively.

Kudus Regency had the highest per capita RGDP in Central Java in 2020, at Rp 123.9 million. It was followed by Semarang City and Surakarta City with per capita RGDPs of Rp 102.7 million and Rp 91.43 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Grobogan Regency had the lowest per capita RGDP in Central Java, at Rp 19.7 million in 2020. Above it were Pemalang Regency and Demak Regency with per capita RGDPs of Rp 19.77 million and Rp 22.61 million, respectively.
