This Province Has the Highest Per Capita Expenditure in Indonesia

The average per capita expenditure of residents in DKI Jakarta is the highest nationally.

Based on the results of the Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) conducted by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the average per capita expenditure of residents in the capital city reached Rp2.39 million per capita per month in 2021. The details are Rp893,980 per capita per month for food commodities and Rp1.49 million for non-food commodities.

The next province with the highest average resident expenditure is Riau Islands, at Rp1.95 million per capita per month. This is followed by East Kalimantan with an average expenditure of Rp1.78 million per capita per month, and Bangka Belitung Islands with an average expenditure of Rp1.59 million per capita per month.

Then, the average expenditure in North Kalimantan is Rp1.56 million per capita per month. Residents in Banten have an average expenditure of Rp1.53 million per capita per month, and West Papua has an average expenditure of Rp1.47 million per capita per month.

Following these are Bali with an average resident expenditure of Rp1.47 million per capita per month, then South Kalimantan with an average expenditure of Rp1.42 million per capita per month, and Central Kalimantan with an expenditure of Rp1.41 million per capita per month.

The national average consumption expenditure is Rp1.28 million per capita per month. The details are Rp631,680 per capita per month for food commodities and Rp649,650 per capita per month for non-food commodities.
