According to a report by Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the value of Indonesian arms and ammunition exports from January to September 2024 reached US$20.82 million.
This represents a 100% increase compared to the January-September 2023 period, setting a new record high as shown in the graph.
From January to September 2024, Indonesia exported arms and ammunition to 19 countries.
The largest export value came from transactions with Japan, amounting to US$8.81 million, equivalent to 42% of the total national export value.
The next main export destinations were the Philippines (14% share), the United States (12%), Australia (8%), and Guam (8%).
Following these were Malaysia (6%), Thailand (5%), Cambodia (3%), and Brunei Darussalam (1%).
The market share of other countries accounted for less than 1% of the total national arms and ammunition export value.
