Iwan Fals is one of Indonesia's legendary musicians whose work is still enjoyed by the Indonesian public.

Spotify music statistics show that the song "Ijinkan Aku Menyayangimu" ("Let Me Love You") has been listened to by 22.47 million people, the most among Iwan Fals' other songs on the music streaming application until 12:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) on October 6, 2022.

Several other equally popular Iwan Fals songs include "Yang Terlupakan" ("The Forgotten One"), listened to by 18.93 million listeners; "Aku Bukan Pilihan" ("I'm Not the Choice"), listened to by 15.11 million listeners; "Pesawat Tempurku" ("My Fighter Jet"), listened to by 11.76 million listeners; and "Sore Tugu Pancoran" ("Pancoran Monument Evening"), listened to by 11.41 million listeners.

Other songs such as "Galang Rambu Anarki" have been listened to by 8.93 million people. "Ibu Pertiwi" ("Motherland") and "Kabar Aroma Tanah" ("News of the Scent of the Earth") have each been listened to by 7.33 million and 432,520 people, respectively.

Spotify recorded that Iwan Fals has 945,370 monthly listeners on its application.

Most recently, Iwan Fals has been widely discussed by the public because he recently released a song titled "Kanjuruhan." The song was uploaded to Iwan Fals' YouTube account @Iwan Fals Official on Wednesday (5/10).

The song tells the story of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, which claimed more than 130 lives. Iwan also highlights the use of tear gas in a locked room during the tragedy.
