In this research, money.co.uk tabulated the number of hashtags and search volume from various social media platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, to determine the most viral tourist destinations.

The most viral tourist destination on social media is London. It received the highest score of 9.83 out of 10 on Money.co.uk's hashtag volume score. London is also the most popular destination on Instagram with over 150 million images of the city. Furthermore, videos about London tourism on TikTok have garnered 28 billion views, and YouTube videos have generated over 150,000 vlogs.

Dubai is in second place with a score of 9.77 out of 10. It is a favorite destination on TikTok with over 65 billion views. On Instagram, Dubai boasts 117.7 million photos, while on YouTube, there are 14,000 videos showcasing the city's luxurious beauty.

With a score of 9.52 out of 10, Bali ranks fifth for the most picture-perfect destination in the world. Bali is the most searched destination among YouTube users with 276,000 YouTube searches. Instagram posts for this Indonesian island have reached over 69.2 million, and videos about Bali have been viewed 12.2 billion times on TikTok.
