Many People Are Satisfied with the Constitutional Court's Decision in the 2024 Presidential Election Dispute

The Constitutional Court (MK) concluded the hearing of the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) on Monday, April 22, 2024.

In its decision, the MK rejected all lawsuits filed by the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD pairings.

"The Petitioner's request is rejected in its entirety," said Chief Justice Suhartoyo while reading the verdict, as reported by *Katadata*, Monday, April 22, 2024.

The decision confirms the victory of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair as president-elect and vice president-elect.

This MK decision appears to satisfy a majority of Indonesian people.

Based on a Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas) survey, a majority or 68.7% of respondents said they were satisfied with the MK's decision in the 2024 Presidential Election dispute.

The details show that 26.8% of respondents stated they were very satisfied and 41.9% were satisfied.

Meanwhile, only 25.3% of respondents were dissatisfied, consisting of 15% who answered dissatisfied and 10.3% very dissatisfied.

This Litbang Kompas survey involved 522 respondents randomly selected using a stratified systematic sampling method in 38 Indonesian provinces.

The survey was conducted from April 22-25, 2024, through telephone interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 4.36% with a 95% confidence level, under conditions of simple random sampling.
