Former Waskita Beton CEO Imprisoned, Company Still Under PKPU

Former President Director of Waskita Beton Precast Tbk, Jarot Subana, was officially sentenced to prison for corruption on Wednesday (March 23).

Jarot Subana's corruption case occurred while he was still working at Waskita Karya, the parent company of Waskita Beton. Jarot was sentenced to six years in prison, and ordered to pay a fine of Rp200 million and restitution of Rp7.1 billion.

Currently, Waskita Beton itself is still under a Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (PKPU).

The PKPU verdict was handed down to the company for failing to pay its debts. In the case of Waskita Beton, the parties filing the PKPU lawsuit are currently two creditors, namely Magdalena Yohan Heryadi with a claim of Rp3.35 billion and Suwito Muliadi with a claim of Rp648 million.

The Waskita Beton PKPU period lasted 75 days, from March 10, 2022, to May 24, 2022.

Throughout 2021, Waskita Beton received five PKPU lawsuits from seven creditors, with a total claim value of Rp59 billion.

However, five of these creditors have withdrawn their lawsuits: Hartono Naga Persada, Existama Putranindo, Honindo Pratama Mandiri, Tatchi Engineering, and Dwi Karya Prima.
