Indonesia's ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6 Series Savings Bonds Sold for Rp28.9 Trillion in July 2023

The Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance recorded sales of retail state bonds, ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6, totaling Rp28.9 trillion.

Details show Rp20 trillion in sales for the ORI023-T3 series and Rp8.9 trillion for the ORI023-T6 series.

The DJPPR stated that the issuance nominal of ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6 is the largest since the issuance of retail State Bonds (SUN). Funds from the sale of these two series will be used to meet the 2023 State Budget (APBN) financing target.

The DJPPR added that ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6 were offered from June 30 to July 20, 2023. Considering the yield of State Securities in the secondary market and ample market liquidity, ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6 were offered with competitive coupons of 5.90% and 6.10%, respectively.

"The extraordinary investment interest from the public led the government to upsize the initial sales target of ORI023 twice, from the initial Rp20 trillion set at the beginning of the offering period," wrote the DJPPR on its official website on Monday (July 24, 2023).

The total sales target for ORI023 was increased to Rp25.0 trillion on Thursday, July 13, 2023, and then again to Rp28.9 trillion on Monday, July 17, 2023.

"The quota for ORI023-T3 was reached on the 19th day of the offering period, while the quota for ORI023-T6 was met on the 20th day, or one day before the offering period closed," said the DJPPR.

A total of 58,395 investors participated in the issuance of ORI023-T3 and ORI023-T6. Of these, 21,173 (36.3% of the total number of investors) were new investors.

For ORI023-T3, 2,436 investors (4.2% of the total investors) placed orders with a nominal value of Rp1 million.

For ORI023-T6, 1,325 investors (2.3% of the total investors) placed orders with a nominal value of Rp1 million.
