The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened by 13.69 points or 0.2% to 6,888.52 at the close of trading on Friday (6/10/2023).

Today's index strengthening was led by technology sector stocks.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, seven stock sectors strengthened today. The technology sector rose the highest, at 1.68%, followed by the basic materials sector at 1.66%, and the health sector at 1.07%.

The issuer with the code IOTF became the top gainer after strengthening by 35%, followed by issuers JMAS and MTWI which strengthened by 25.3% and 24.39% respectively.

Meanwhile, today's top loser was KOCI, which weakened by 30%, followed by PPRI and META which contracted by 16.67% and 14.93% respectively.

The majority of stocks closed higher today. Specifically, 261 stocks strengthened, 252 stocks weakened, and 242 stocks were stagnant.

Regional Asian stock exchanges showed varied movement this afternoon. The Nikkei index weakened by 0.17% to 31,022.10, the Hang Seng index strengthened by 1.58% to 17,485.98, and the Straits Times index strengthened by 0.61% to 3,174.39.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai index (China) was closed in observance of the Golden Week Holiday.
