BCA's Net Profit Grew 24.8% to Rp29 Trillion by September 2022

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) achieved a net profit of Rp29 trillion until September 2022, a 24.8% year-on-year increase. In the first nine months of 2021, BBCA's net profit reached Rp23.199 trillion.

"Supported by various positive achievements, BCA's net profit increased by 24.8% year on year to Rp29 trillion," stated Jahja Setiaatmadja, President Director of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, in his presentation on Thursday (20/10).

The positive achievements supporting BBCA's net profit include a 12.6% year-on-year (YoY) increase in total credit as of September 2022. On the funding side, current accounts and savings accounts (CASA) increased by 15.1% YoY, supported by high transaction frequency and an increase in the customer base.

"Supported by two expos this year, we received a total of Rp30 trillion in applications for mortgage loans (KPR) and installment loans (KKB)," said Jahja.

Along with credit and liquidity growth, BCA recorded positive growth in net interest income (NII) during the first nine months of 2022, increasing by 9.3 percent year-on-year to Rp46.1 trillion.

Non-interest income grew by 7.8 percent (YoY) to Rp16.7 trillion, driven by a 15.2 percent (YoY) increase in fee and commission income.

In total, operating income was recorded at Rp62.8 trillion, up 8.9 percent (YoY). "Meanwhile, provision expenses decreased by Rp3.7 trillion compared to last year," added Jahja.
