Adaro Energy Has Consistently Paid Dividends Since its IPO: How Much Each Year?

Since its initial public offering (IPO) in 2008, Adaro Energy has consistently paid dividends annually. Even in 2020, Adaro continued to distribute dividends despite a decline in net profit due to the pandemic.

In 2020, Adaro distributed a total of US$146.82 million in dividends to its shareholders. The dividend payout ratio reached 99.92% of Adaro's net profit, which amounted to US$146.93 million in 2020.

The largest dividend payment was made in 2011, totaling US$259.09 million. That same year, Adaro recorded its highest net profit since its IPO, reaching US$552.1 million.

Conversely, the lowest dividend payment was made in Adaro's first fiscal year after the IPO, totaling US$35.52 million.

Adaro Energy is owned by Garibaldi "Boy" Thohir, the brother of Erick Thohir, Indonesia's Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. Adaro operates in the coal and mineral mining sector.
