Asian Stock Market Movements in Q1 2026, Indonesia Falls the Deepest

According to the report from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesia Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) stood at 7,048.22 at the close of trading on March 31st, or the end of the first quarter of 2026.

The position of the IHSG fell by 18.49% compared to the end of the previous quarter (quarter-to-quarter/qtq). This decline in the IHSG was also the most significant among other stock exchange indices in the Asian region.

Among the 12 stock exchange indices in the Asian region monitored by IDX, only 6 indices strengthened in the first quarter of 2026. South Korea (KOSPI Index) led with a rise of 19.89% (qtq).
