Gold Prices Rise Again, Resurfacing US$5,000 per Troy Ounce (February 11, 2026)

The global gold price has strengthened again, after previously experiencing a dip.

According to Yahoo Finance data, from the end of January to early February 2026, the futures price of gold on the Commodity Exchange (COMEX) fell to around US$4,600 per troy ounce.

However, after that, the price strengthened again, reaching US$5,071.6 per troy ounce at the close of trading on February 11, 2026.

Thus, since the beginning of this year until February 11, 2026, the gold price has surged by 17.2% (year-to-date/ytd).

This increase reflects the high interest of investors in gold as a safe haven asset amid increasing global uncertainty.

In the domestic market, the gold price today, January 12, 2026, reached Rp2,987,000 per gram on the Sahabat Pegadaian website. Meanwhile, on the Logam Mulia website, 1 gram of gold is priced at Rp2,954,368.
