IDX Composite Strengthens as Major Bank Stock Prices Rise (Wednesday, October 29, 2025)

The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) rose 0.91% to 8,166.22 at the close of trading on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).

The index's strengthening coincided with an increase in the share prices of major banks.

Today, the share price of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) rose 3.93% to 8,600. Meanwhile, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) increased by 1.04% to 3,890.

Similarly, the share price of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) rose 3.10% to 4,650, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) increased by 1.60% to 4,440.

Based on the IDX-IC Sectoral Index, seven stock sectors strengthened today. The basic materials sector led with a 3.44% increase, followed by the financial sector and the non-primary consumer goods sector, which rose 1.56% and 1.54% respectively.

Meanwhile, four stock sectors declined. The industrial sector saw the deepest decline of 0.95%, followed by the property sector and the technology sector, which fell 0.74% and 0.66% respectively.

According to RTI Business data, the frequency of domestic stock trading today reached 2.23 million transactions.

A total of 28.37 billion shares changed hands, with a total transaction value of Rp22.75 trillion.

As many as 335 stocks closed higher today, while 316 stocks weakened, and 140 stocks remained stagnant.

Today's top gainers were INOV, which soared 34.02%, followed by FISH and TOOL, which rose 24.86% and 21.43% respectively.

On the other hand, the issuer coded TOBA became the top loser after plummeting 15%, followed by LABA and MICE, which corrected 14.94% and 14.81% respectively.

Asian regional exchanges closed mixed this afternoon. The Nikkei Index rose 2.17% to 51,307.65; the Hang Seng Index fell 0.33% to 26,346.14; the Shanghai Index rose 0.70% to 4,016.33; and the Straits Times Index fell 0.23% to 4,440.21.
