The poverty line in West Kalimantan in September experienced a significant increase compared to the lowest growth in September 2020, which was 0.5 percent. This year, the poverty line in West Kalimantan grew by 5.93 percent.
Looking back, the average increase in the poverty line in this province over the past three years was 3.18 percent. This figure is lower than the average for the previous three years (2016-2019), which was 3.45 percent.
The Poverty Line (PL) reflects the minimum rupiah expenditure needed by a person to meet their basic needs for a month, including both food and non-food needs.

This year's poverty line growth still shows a higher figure than before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on the island, out of a total of five provinces in Kalimantan, West Kalimantan's poverty line is ranked fourth. This year, growth in this province was lower than the national average.
