Average expenditure in East Java this December has seen a significant increase compared to the lowest growth in December 2020, which was 2.72 percent. This year, the average expenditure in East Java grew by 22.36 percent.
Looking back, the average increase in average expenditure over the past three years is 8.58 percent. This figure is higher than the average for the previous three years (2017-2020), which stood at 6.01 percent.
As stated in the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) report, the highest average expenditure growth in the province over the past ten years was 25.86 percent, and the lowest was 2.72 percent, with a downward trend in average expenditure. This year's average expenditure growth is still higher than before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on island, the average expenditure of East Java province ranks sixth out of a total of nine provinces in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara. Compared to the national average, growth in this province is higher.
