The three-month wheat contract price for transactions on Friday, August 16, 2024, increased. Today's trading of the three-month wheat contract was recorded at US$ 528.5 per bushel. This figure is higher than the previous day's trading, which was at US$ 528.25 per bushel. This current condition is similar to the movement of the three-month wheat contract price in the last day, which is currently in a downward trend.

Over the past week, the three-month wheat contract price movement grew by -1.81 percent, with an average daily transaction price of US$ 533.86 per bushel. According to Katadata Insight Center (KIC) calculations, year-to-date (YTD), the three-month wheat contract price has fallen by 12.9 percent. From its highest price this year at US$ 700.25 per bushel, the three-month wheat contract price has fallen by 24.53 percent.

Annually, the average trading price of the three-month wheat contract over the past five years has been in a downward trend. Meanwhile, for monthly price monitoring, transactions in the last 12 months have tended to decrease. The highest average monthly price for the three-month wheat contract commodity was recorded in September 2022 at US$ 833.91 per bushel.
