Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price on the Rotterdam Commodity Exchange remains at US$ 1,075 per metric ton (Sunday, October 30, 2022)

The price of CPO on the Rotterdam commodities exchange this morning, until 09.11 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), was US$1,075 per metric ton, data as of Sunday, October 30, 2022. This CPO price on the Rotterdam commodities exchange only moved -1.38% compared to the closing price on Thursday, October 27, 2022, which was traded at US$1,090 per metric ton. The CPO price movement on the Rotterdam commodities exchange today is expected to be in the range of US$1,075 - 1,080 per metric ton.

As shown on investing.com, the CPO price on the Rotterdam commodities exchange fell by 0.46% in a week. Compared to 30 days prior, the CPO price on the Rotterdam commodities exchange has increased by 3.37%.

Before Russia's attack on Ukraine, the CPO price on the Rotterdam spot market was still at US$1,640 per ton (February 23, 2022). After the invasion, the CPO price soared for two weeks.

Compared to the end of last year, which was still at US$1,305 per ton, the palm oil price has plummeted -17.62% (Year to Date/YTD). Compared to the lowest point on June 16, 2021, the CPO price has surged 10.26%.

The increase in CPO prices also impacted the price of cooking oil in Indonesia. The price of cooking oil in various regions is above Rp 20,000 per liter. Cooking oil was even temporarily scarce in the market.

However, for a one-year data range, CPO on the Rotterdam commodities exchange has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached US$2,010 per metric ton.

The CPO price on the Rotterdam commodities exchange reached its lowest point at US$880 per metric ton on Thursday, September 29, 2022. The highest point this year was around US$2,010 per metric ton.
