Composite Index Closes Up 0.02% at 330,7606 (Wednesday, July 6, 2022)

The weakening Indonesian Rupiah and the correction in stock prices on the exchange were used by investors to take profits in the domestic debt market. Some investors maintained their holdings in government bonds.

According to the Indonesian Securities Valuation Company (PHEI) website, the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI) closed at 330.7606 on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. This figure is up 0.08 points (0.02%) from the previous day's closing of 330.6802.

Furthermore, today's transactions show that domestic bond market players shifted their portfolios to government bonds. This condition caused corporate bonds to correct, while government bonds rose.

Specifically, the INDOBeX Composite Clean Price closed up 0.01 points (0.0049%) to 115.25. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Effective Yield Composite Index rose 0.01 points (0.11%) to 6.6538.

The INDOBeX Government Total Return closed up 0.09 points (0.03%) to 323.19. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Corporate Total Return fell 0.07 points (0.02%) to 381.088.

Transactions in the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market this afternoon showed a weakening of Rp 32/US$ (0.21%) to Rp 15,020/US$. The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed down 57 points (0.85%) to 6,646.41.
