Domestic bond market players realized profits earned in recent days by releasing some of their bond portfolios. As a result, the bond price index fell, while the yield rose.

The Indonesian Bond Pricing Agency (PHEI) data shows that the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI) closed at 328.6852 on Thursday, September 16, 2021. This figure is down 0.1987 points (0.06%) from the previous day's closing of 328.8838.

Specifically, the INDOBeX Composite Clean Price closed down 0.0977 points (0.08%) to 121.2082. Meanwhile, the INDOBeX Composite Effective Yield rose 0.022 points (0.38%) to 5.8208.

The INDOBeX Government Total Return closed down 0.1957 points (0.06%) to 322.4076. Similarly, the INDOBeX Corporate Total Return fell 0.2042 points (0.06%) to 358.2323.

Quoting Bloomberg data, the appreciation of the US dollar against major world currencies caused the strengthening of the rupiah to be hampered again. The US Dollar Index (DXY) in the global market traded up 0.2 points (0.22%) to 92.75 today (until 3:55 WIB). As a result, the rupiah exchange rate weakened by Rp 10 (0.2%) to Rp 14,252.5 per US dollar.

From the stock exchange, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed down slightly by 0.29 points (0.0%) to 6,109.94.
