Net Profit of Four Cement Issuers Grew in Q3 2021

Net profit for four out of five cement companies showed positive performance during Q3 2021. Only one cement producer recorded a loss during the first nine months of this year.

In detail, PT Cemindo Gemilang Tbk (CMNT), the producer of Merah Putih cement, booked a net profit of Rp 333.77 billion by the end of September 2021. This figure increased by 6,995% year-on-year (yoy) compared to Rp 4.70 billion in the same period last year.

PT Semen Baturaja Tbk (SMBR) achieved a net profit of Rp 16.62 billion in Q3 2021. This figure is in contrast to the same period last year, which recorded a loss of Rp 112.60 billion.

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP), the producer of Tiga Roda cement, also booked a net profit of Rp 1.21 trillion. This figure grew by 8.24% (yoy) from the same period last year, which was Rp 1.11 trillion.

Furthermore, PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) recorded a net profit of Rp 459.11 billion in the January-September 2021 period. This achievement increased by 4.7% compared to Q3 of the previous year, which was Rp 438.501 billion.

Meanwhile, PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) booked a net profit of Rp 1.38 trillion in Q3 2021. The net profit of the Gresik Cement producer decreased by 9.9% from Q3 2020, which was Rp 1.54 trillion.
