Most Asian regional stocks closed in the green this afternoon. The Nikkei index strengthened by 0.81% to 37,934.80, the Hang Seng index strengthened by 2.12% to 17,651.15, the Shanghai index strengthened by 1.17% to 3,088.63, while the Straits Times index weakened by 0.23% to 3,280.10.
