Several stocks experienced the biggest price drops in the first week of the new year, or January 3-9, 2024.
According to RTI Business data, companies owned by Prajogo Pangestu dominated the steepest declines during this period.
First, PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) saw its share price fall by 28.95% to Rp5,400 per share. This placed BREN as the second-largest declining stock in Indonesia.
This was followed by PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA), which plummeted 25.96% to Rp80 per share, followed by PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), down 22.02% to Rp1,080 per share.
PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) also fell 20.53% to Rp4,510 per share, and PT Gozco Plantations Tbk (GZCO) saw its share price decrease by 11.94% to Rp118 per share.
However, the top loser was another issuer, PT Venteny Fortuna International Tbk (VTNY), with a decline of 32.58% to Rp178 per share.
RTI Business also noted that the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) contracted by 1.68% during the same period.

5. PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT): down 22.02% to Rp1,080 per share
6. PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO): down 20.53% to Rp4,510 per share
7. PT Itama Ranoraya Tbk (IRRA): down 17.45% to Rp615 per share
8. PT Hetzer Medical Indonesia Tbk (MEDS): down 16.13% to Rp52 per share
9. PT Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk (BAPA): down 12.66% to Rp69 per share
10. PT Gozco Plantations Tbk (GZCO): down 11.94% to Rp118 per share
