According to the World Instant Noodles Association, Indonesia was the second largest consumer of instant noodles in the world in 2023.
Last year, instant noodle consumption in Indonesia reached 14.54 billion servings, equivalent to 12% of global consumption.
Only China consumed more instant noodles than Indonesia, with 42.21 billion servings or 35% of total global consumption.

4. Vietnam: 8.13 billion servings
5. Japan: 5.84 billion servings
6. United States: 5.10 billion servings
7. Philippines: 4.39 billion servings
8. South Korea: 4.04 billion servings
9. Thailand: 3.95 billion servings
10. Nigeria: 2.98 billion servings
Meanwhile, Costa Rica and Argentina had the lowest instant noodle consumption, with only 10 million servings each in 2023.
Finland and Switzerland also ranked among the lowest, with instant noodle consumption of 20 million servings each.
Total global instant noodle consumption in 2023 reached 120.2 billion servings. This is a decrease of 0.81% compared to 2022, which reached 121.2 billion servings.
