Performance of Blocking Illegal Online Lending in Indonesia until 2025

The Indonesia's Task Force for Eradicating Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas PASTI) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has blocked 2,263 illegal online loan entities throughout 2025.

This number decreased by approximately 23% compared to the blockages in 2024, but is still higher than the 2017-2023 period, as shown in the graph.

In addition to blocking illegal online loans, in 2025 OJK halted 354 illegal investment offers on various websites and applications that could potentially harm the public.

OJK also found contact numbers of illegal online loan debt collectors and has requested the Ministry of Communication and Digital to block 2,422 contact numbers.

Furthermore, Satgas PASTI OJK, together with banking industry associations and payment systems, has established the Indonesia Anti-Scam Centre (IASC).

Since its initial operation from November 2024 until December 23, 2025, IASC has received 411,055 reports. The number of accounts reported to IASC reached 681,890, and 127,047 of them have been blocked.

Cumulatively, the total financial losses reported by fraud victims to IASC reached Rp9 trillion, and the total funds of victims that have been blocked amount to Rp402.5 billion.

"IASC will continue to enhance its capacity to accelerate the handling of fraud cases in the financial sector," OJK stated in a press release on Friday (January 9, 2026).
