According to data from the Indonesian Payment System Association (ASPI), there were approximately 41 million merchants in Indonesia accepting QRIS payments in the third quarter of 2025.
This number grew by 20.63% compared to the end of the third quarter of last year (year-on-year/yoy).
Along with the growth in merchants, in the third quarter of 2025, the number of QRIS consumer users also grew by 8.85% (yoy) to approximately 58 million users.
The total QRIS transaction volume during the third quarter of 2025 reached 4.28 billion transactions, growing by 147.7% (yoy).
Furthermore, the average QRIS transaction volume during that period ranged from 34.54 to 35.58 transactions/merchant/month.
In terms of nominal value, the average QRIS transaction ranged from Rp3.09 million to Rp3.16 million/merchant/month.
"The average volume and nominal value of QRIS transactions per merchant still have significant potential for improvement," ASPI stated in its Indonesian Payment System Statistical News.
"This could also be influenced by the large number of inactive/dormant merchants or those who do not make QRIS their primary choice for transactions," they added.
