Indonesia's Consumer Confidence Recovers in October 2025, Reaching Level 121.2

The results of Bank Indonesia's (BI) survey show that the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) reached 121.2 points in October 2025.

This score is at an optimistic level, as it is above 100 points. Conversely, conditions are considered pessimistic if the index score is less than 100 points.

The October 2025 score also recorded a significant increase of 6.2 points from September 2025, which was 115. This October score marks the fourth increase since the beginning of 2025, after having experienced six consecutive declines.

"The increase in consumer confidence stems from consumers' confidence in the current and future economic conditions, which are at an optimistic level and have improved compared to the previous period," Bank Indonesia stated in its report, quoted on Monday (24/11/2025).

The increase occurred across all components. BI noted that the Current Economic Condition Index (CECI) was 109.1 points in October 2025, up from 102.7 points in September 2025. Meanwhile, the Consumer Expectation Index (CEI) was recorded at 133.4 points, also up from the previous 127.2 points.

Based on expenditure groups, consumer confidence in October 2025 increased for all groups, with the highest CCI recorded among respondents with expenditures of more than Rp5 million, at 125.3 points, followed by respondents with expenditures of Rp4.1-5 million, at 120.4 points.

BI added that, according to age groups, the CCI also increased across all age groups, with the highest optimism observed in the 20-30 age group, at 125 points.

"Spatially, the CCI increased in the majority of surveyed cities, especially in Medan, Pontianak, and Padang," BI said.
