The Financial Services Authority (OJK) report shows that the value of bank credit restructuring reached Rp560.41 trillion by July 2022. This figure is down from Rp576.17 trillion in June 2022.

Based on sectoral proportions, Covid-19 restructuring of total credit per sector that is still above 20% is the accommodation, food, and beverage sector, which reached 42.69% or Rp126.06 trillion.

Another sector still impacted is real estate and rental at 17.90%. Credit in this sector is still being restructured with a value of Rp51.87 trillion.

OJK Banking Supervisory Executive Head Dian Ediana Rae said that his institution is considering the effectiveness of continuing the credit restructuring policy in relation to the different levels of debtor performance recovery in each sector, segment, and region. "Going forward, the OJK's stimulus will be more targeted to sectors, segments, and regions that are still considered to be in need," said Dian.
