Flooding hit parts of Sepaku Sub-district, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Based on the *Disaster Risk Map Album of the IKN Area 2021-2025* released by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), most villages around IKN are indeed at risk of flooding.

BNPB recorded that out of 9 villages in Penajam Paser Utara Regency that are included in the IKN area, 8 are at risk of this disaster.

The most extensive flood risk is in Suka Raja Village, while the only village not at risk of flooding is Pemaluan Sub-district, as shown in the graph.

Of the total area at risk of flooding in the villages of Penajam Paser Utara Regency that fall within the IKN area, the majority, or 6,267 hectares (99.5%), is categorized as "medium risk".

Meanwhile, only 12 hectares (0.2%) are categorized as "high risk," specifically located in Argo Mulyo Village.

Then there are 17 hectares (0.3%) categorized as "low risk," located in Sepaku Sub-district.
