The Jakarta DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that one road section and 48 neighborhood units (RT) were flooded as of 9:00 AM WIB on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial BPBD, Isnawa Adji, stated that there was a 24 RT increase in flooded areas in DKI Jakarta between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM WIB.
"BPBD recorded that the flooding, previously affecting 24 RTs, has now expanded to one flooded road section and 48 RTs, or 0.158% of the 30,470 RTs in DKI Jakarta," said Isnawa, as quoted by *Kompas.com*, Monday (27/2/2023).
Isnawa said that the floodwater height in the capital varied from 15 centimeters (cm) to 1.3 meters (m). The worst flooding, with a water level of 1.3 meters, occurred in Cawang Village, East Jakarta.
Based on BPBD data, East Jakarta was the most severely flooded area, with 28 RTs affected.
The following is a breakdown of RTs flooded in Jakarta at 9:00 AM WIB on February 27, 2023:
East Jakarta: 28 RTs
* Cililitan: 1 RT flooded to a depth of 50-60 cm.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Ciliwung River.
* Cawang: 13 RTs flooded to a depth of 30 cm - 1.3 meters.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Ciliwung River.
* Bidara Cina: 5 RTs flooded to a depth of 40 cm - 1.2 meters.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Ciliwung River.
* Kampung Melayu: 6 RTs flooded to a depth of 60 cm - 1.25 meters.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Ciliwung River.
* Cipinang Muara: 3 RTs flooded to a depth of 30-50 cm.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Sunter River.
West Jakarta: 18 RTs
* Kembangan Utara: 1 RT flooded to a depth of 60 cm.
Cause: High rainfall.
* Tegal Alur: 4 RTs flooded to a depth of 20-40 cm.
Cause: High rainfall.
* Rawa Buaya: 9 RTs flooded to a depth of 40-60 cm.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Krukut River.
* Kedaung Kaliangke: 4 RTs flooded to a depth of 30-40 cm.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Angke River.
South Jakarta: 2 RTs
* Cilandak Timur: 2 RTs flooded to a depth of 70 cm.
Cause: High rainfall and overflow from the Krukut River.
Separately, one road section, Jalan Cipinang Indah Raya II, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit, was flooded to a depth of 15 cm.
