There were also logging concessions granted through the PBPH Natural Forest (PBPH-HA) totaling 2.65 million ha, and the Release of Forest Areas (PKH) for palm oil plantations totaling 598,150 ha during the same period.

Walhi and Auriga also noted that from the Soeharto era to Jokowi's presidency, the rights to use and control land have been mostly granted to corporations, while the portion allocated to the people is very small.

"Of the 53 million hectares of land use/control granted by the government, only 2.7 million hectares are allocated to the people, while 94.8 percent are allocated to corporations," they stated.
