The Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that 69 neighborhood units (RTs) in the capital were flooded as of Thursday afternoon (November 30, 2023).

This number represents 0.22% of the total 30,772 RTs in Jakarta.

According to the BPBD, the flooding in these dozens of RTs was caused by moderate to heavy rain that had been falling since Wednesday (November 29, 2023).

As of Thursday afternoon (November 30, 2023), the flooded areas in the capital were only located in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

In South Jakarta, 19 RTs were affected by flooding: 1 RT in Pondok Pinang Village, 12 RTs in Rawajati Village, and 6 RTs in East Pejaten Village.

Besides overflowing from the Ciliwung River, some of these locations were flooded due to the overflowing Pesanggrahan River.

In East Jakarta, 50 RTs were flooded: 7 RTs in Bidara Cina Village, 23 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village, 2 RTs in Balekambang Village, 9 RTs in Cawang Village, and 9 RTs in Cililitan Village.

The flooding in Cililitan Village was also contributed to by the overflowing Kali Item River. Meanwhile, the flooding in 5 RTs in Cawang Village has now subsided.

As a result of the flood, one person evacuated to the SKKT Building, RW 011, Bidara Cina Village.
