China Remains Indonesia's Largest Non-Oil and Gas Supplier in December 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that China is Indonesia's main supplier of non-oil and gas imports. Non-oil and gas imports from China reached US$6.23 billion in December 2021.

Indonesia's non-oil and gas imports from China contributed 34.68% of Indonesia's total non-oil and gas imports. The next largest importer of non-oil and gas goods to Indonesia is Japan.

Non-oil and gas imports from Japan amounted to US$1.34 billion, contributing 7.45% to the total non-oil and gas imports.

Next, non-oil and gas supplies from the United States were valued at US$940 million. Australia and Thailand followed with non-oil and gas import values of US$910 million and US$890 million, respectively.

Indonesia's total non-oil and gas imports were recorded at US$17.98 billion. This import value increased by 38.78% from the previous year, which was US$12.96 billion.
