Starting June 8, 2018, Shell Public Fuel Stations (SPBU) officially raised their prices. Their website shows that the Dutch oil company increased fuel prices by Rp 200-300 per liter.
The price of Regular (RON 90) gasoline increased by Rp 200 to Rp 8,700 per liter on June 8, 2018, from its previous price. Similarly, Super (RON 92) increased by Rp 250 to Rp 9,600 per liter, V-Power (RON 95) increased by Rp 300 to Rp 10,850, and Diesel increased by Rp 300 to Rp 10,750 per liter from its previous price.
This fuel price increase is related to the rise in global crude oil prices, which are currently at US$77.24 per barrel for Brent crude and US$66 per barrel for WTI crude. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) reference price for April 2018 reached Rp 67.43 per barrel.
