Russia's Top 6 Oil and Gas Companies Continue Supplying Gas to Europe

Russian gas company Gazprom is reportedly continuing to supply gas to Europe according to purchase contracts. This is despite President Vladimir Putin's earlier threat to halt gas supplies if payment in rubles was not made.

Gazprom is the largest oil and gas company in Russia, with revenue exceeding Rp1,600 trillion. According to Investopedia, here are the six largest oil and gas companies in Russia in 2022:

1. Gazprom – US$117.4 billion (Rp1,684.87 trillion)
2. Rosneft – US$111.1 billion (Rp1,594.7 trillion)
3. Lukoil – US$106.4 billion (Rp1,527 trillion)
4. Gazprom Neft – US$40.6 billion (Rp582.67 trillion)
5. Surgutneftegas – US$19.1 billion (Rp274.1 trillion)
6. Novatek – US$15.7 billion (Rp225.3 trillion)

Gazprom is a Russian multinational state-owned energy corporation headquartered in Lakhta Center, Saint Petersburg. Gazprom is integrated and active in all sectors of the Russian gas industry, including exploration and production, refining, transportation, distribution, marketing, and power generation.

Gazprom is also a producer of crude oil through its subsidiary, Gazprom Neft, which produces approximately 41 million tons of oil from reserves of 2 billion tons. The company has subsidiaries in several industrial sectors, including finance, media, aviation, etc.
